23 Oct Halloween Disco

SPOOKY SUCCESS

This year’s Halloween Disco was a great success raising over £630 for the school.  It was great to see so many families there with the children in their amazing costumes. The children enjoyed dancing and playing gruesome games such as a ‘Yucky Dip’ and ‘Guess the body parts’, as well as munching their way through hot dogs, cakes and doughnuts on a string. A big thank you to everyone who helped by baking, setting up, clearing up and running games. Special thank yous to Sue Forsyth and her team for running the kitchen, to Hilarie who let us take over the Nursery and to the nursery children for their fantastic spider decorations.

Pumpkintastic!

Well done to all those children who carved pumpkin lanterns. They looked fantastic lit up at the disco and it was wonderful to see how creative the children are. Our competition winner was a family affair, Libby and Arthur Judd Hawkes (Years 6 & 4). Our three fantastic runners up were Freddie (Year 1), Mattios (Year 3) and Alexia (Year 4). Enjoy your slimy science kits! Also a big thank you to Bernhard (Max & Vincent’s Dad) for his huge pumpkin masterpiece that welcomed everyone at the school entrance.
