Extended School

We offer an extended school day from 8:00am until 6:00pm. We provide a breakfast club at the school and have a partnership agreement with Elizabeth House Playcentre who provide high quality after school provision daily and in the holidays.

Breakfast Club

All Gillespie children are welcome at Breakfast Club (although places are limited). We provide breakfast, including cereals and hot food, every morning for a small charge. Food is served 8:00-8:30am then children enjoy supervised play until school starts.

Lunchtime Clubs

We have a range of lunchtime activities including school choir, school orchestra, library enrichment and ‘green fingers’ club.

After School Clubs

We have a wide range of After School Clubs that offer numerous activities that allow our children to develop their interests and talents outside of school hours; including:  Fitness Fun club, Girls & Boys football clubs, Table Tennis club, Cricket club, Running club, Taekwondo, Chess club, Water Marbling club, Zumba, Music Orchestra, STEAM club, Gymnastics club and Basketball club.

Clubs run each term for 10 weeks. Children are able to attend up to 3 clubs per week. Families with 2 or more children are offered a concessionary rate as well as those who are eligible for Free School Meals.

Elizabeth House Playcentre

We also have a partnership with Elizabeth House who offer a safe and secure environment for children to play, pursue arts and crafts activities and generally have fun (from 3:30-6:00pm). Children are either collected from the playground by EH staff at 3:30pm; or escorted round to EH at 4:30pm if they have an After School Club.
