We had the weather on our side last week for sports day and the sun shone all day at Clissold Park.

KS1 headed over to the park in the morning and took part in a range of sporting events including; relay, hurdles, long jump target throw and of course the egg and spoon race! Their events ended with the sprints where there was some great determination on display (especially from the Mums in their race!)

KS2 came over to the park in the afternoon and took part in: relay, javelin, target throw, long jump and agility. Each year group also had qualifiers on the track to see who would progress to the finals of the sprint and long distance.

The finals were phenomenal with some very close finishes especially in the year 3 boys sprint. Well done to everyone who took part and congratulations to all of those who got medals.

Also a huge thanks to Year 6 who were amazing sports leaders for both KS1 and KS2 – I couldn’t have done it without you.

And finally to all the parents that came along to cheer and support. I hope to see you all run in next years parents races!
