In year 1 we have been learning lots of new things. In Science we are learning about 5 different categories of animals. Birds, mammals, fish, amphibians and reptiles. You can see that we have made clay amphibians and reptiles. We made our bodies move like some animals and thought about the different ways in which the animals move.

In Geography, we learnt about maps, keys and the different compass directions. We used compass directions to place different objects around a picture of a house. We directed beebots around our own treasure maps and also drew a map of the classroom that had a key to show what each shape on the map is.

In P.E we have been learning how to send and receive a ball, aim it at a target and control them with our fingertips.
