History off the page
Just before the Christmas holidays Year 4 were lucky enough to have History off the page visit and had a Roman day!
Children from year 4 had to dress up and live as a Roman for the whole day! We enjoyed learning how to make a wax tablet, making Roman medicine, how to write in Latin as well as learning all about Roman daily life. It was a brilliant day!

In January Year 4 went to Gillespie Ecology Centre and participated in the Big School’s Bird watch. We saw lots of pigeons, magpies, sparrows as well as lots of other birds. We had great fun in the snow as well as contributing towards a very important national bird census o help the RSPB.
The 10 Principles of Science
Year 4 had a mini-competition to make a poster about the 10 principles of science.
The children were asked what makes a good science lesson and together agreed on 10 points which were then made in to posters.
Year 4 made electrical circuits out of playdoh during a workshop with students from UCL (University College London).
